Registration is now open for Bedford County Department of Fire & Rescue’s upcoming EMT Course.

The session runs from Aug. 13 through Nov. 12, 2025. Classes are every Wednesday from 6-10 p.m. and four Saturdays (Aug. 23, Sept. 6, Sept. 27, Nov. 2) from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

Classes will be held at Goode Rescue Squad (9261 Forest Rd., Goode).

Cost is $500; the course is free for current Bedford County volunteers.

Other things to know:

• Online coursework, a CPR class, and additional clinical hours are required.
• To enroll, you must be at least 16 years old by Aug. 13, 2025.
