Bedford County Department of Fire & Rescue has announced the appointment of Fire Marshal Leo George as its new Deputy Chief of Administration.

George brings years of dedicated service to the role, having previously served as a Firefighter/Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (FF/AEMT) and as Fire Marshal. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to strengthening the department and supporting its mission.

In his new position, Deputy Chief George will oversee key administrative functions and lead strategic initiatives that support the Fire & Rescue system. His work will play a critical role in ensuring effective operations and continued support for Fire & EMS services across Bedford County.
