Bedford County is a combination system with career and volunteer opportunities. We are committed to providing safe, timely, compassionate, effective and efficient services with respect and kindness. 

Our department consists of men and women who have devoted their time to becoming career EMS and Fire service providers. We are proud to have 12 volunteer fire departments and 8 volunteer EMS agencies that have been the backbone of Bedford County for many years and many years to come.
