EMS Training at Bedford County Department of Fire & Rescue

EMS Training

EMS training is vital to our mission to protect the lives of the citizens and visitors of Bedford County while providing safe, timely, compassionate, effective, and efficient services.

Training is coordinated by the Bedford County Fire and Rescue Training Captain.

Bedford County Fire and Rescue provides free training courses to Bedford County fire and EMS volunteers who are wishing to become certified as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT). You must be a volunteer with a local fire department or rescue squad in Bedford County.

For those who are not currently volunteering for a local fire department or rescue squad, the course fee is approximately $500. However, there are potential scholarships available.
